திருக்கழுக்குன்றம் பேரூராட்சி அருள்மிகு வேதகிரிஸ்வரர் திருக்கோயில், வட்டாட்சியர் அலுவலகம், வட்டா வளர்ச்சி அலுவலகம், தீயணைப்பு நிலையம், காவல் நிலையம், மேல்நிலைப் பள்ளிகள், உயர்நிலைப்பள்ளிகள், நீதிமன்றம் ஆகியவற்றினை கொண்டுள்ள தேர்வுநிலை பேரூராட்சியாகும். இப்பேரூராட்சி சென்னையிலிருந்து 65 கிலோ மீட்டர் துரத்திலும், செங்கல்பட்டு-மாமல்லபுரம் மாநில நெடுஞ்சாலையில் 14 கிலோ மீட்டரில் அமைந்துள்ளது. இப்பேரூராட்சி நெறியாளர்களுக்கு முதன்மையான புகழ்மிக்க பெரிய தலம், தொண்டை நாட்டில் தேவாரம் பெற்ற முப்பத்திரண்டு சிவத் தலங்களுள் முதன்மையானது. வேதங்கள் நான்கும் மலையுருவாக இருந்தமையால் இது வேதகிரி என்றும் அழைக்கப்படுகிறது. திருக்கழுக்குன்றம் கோயில் 7ம் நுற்றாண்டில் கி.பி.610-640ல் பல்லவ மன்னர்களின் புகழ்பெற்ற மகேந்திர வர்ம பல்லவனால் கட்டப்பட்டது. இம்மலையினை வலம் வருவதினால் கொடிய நோய் உள்ளவர்களும், மருத்துவர்களால் கைவிடப்பட்டவர்களும்திருமலையைச் சுற்றி ஒரு மண்டலத்திற்கு வலம் பந்தால் நோய்கள் துர்ந்துவிடும் என்று பக்தர்கள் நம்புகின்றனர். ஒவ்வொரு பவுர்ணமி நாளிலும் ஏராளமான பக்தர்கள் கிரிவலம் வருகின்றனர். இத்தலத்தினை சுற்றி பண்ணிரெண்டு தீர்த்தங்கள் உள்ளன.
