TOWN HISTORY
Arasiramani Town has a rich historical and cultural heritage. The history bears testimony to the rule of a fist of dynastic. The famous Solleeswarar temple and Vellutru Perumal Koil revel the rich bearings of the town in Salem District. The population of the town was 13815 in 2001 and rose to 14834 in 2011. There are number of substantial riots living in this town.
TOWN ADMINISTRATION
Arasiramani Town Panchayat was constituted on 01.04.1969 as Second Grade Town Panchayat and functioning as such till date. The extent of the Town Panchayat is 28.16 Sq.K.M. The population of the Town Panchayat is 14834 as per 2011 census, consisting 7665 men and 7169 women. The town was delineated to 15 Administration wards. The Urban local Body elections were held on 19.10.2011 for the posts of Town Panchayat Chairman and 15 Town Panchayat Councillors.
LOCATION
Arasiramani, known originally as Kullampatti is situated on the banks of river Sarabanga. Arasiramani lies between 11`30` and 11` 40` Northern Latitude and between 78` 30` and 78` 40` Eastern Longitude. It is located at a distance of 48 kilometres west of Salem.

The main functions of this town are the primary and tertiary activities. This town can be considered as Bi-functional town.
